Changing MX Records on Aruba Hosting

The procedure to modify MX records on Aruba hosting requires special attention. When selecting the "Use other Mail Servers" option, some essential DNS records such as A pop3., mail., and webmail. are automatically removed.

MX Record Removal Aruba

To correctly configure Utixo’s MX servers, enter the following values:

  • mx1.utixo.net
  • mx2.utixo.net

During configuration, it is essential to select the option shown in the image below to ensure emails are correctly delivered to the Aruba server. If not selected, email delivery will fail.

Correct MX setting Aruba

Before saving the new configuration, you must manually recreate all A records that may have been deleted during the MX change. Access the DNS section and reinsert the appropriate values.

Manually adding A records

Once changes are saved, wait about 2 hours for full DNS propagation.

Warning

In Libraesva, SMTP flow forwarding must be configured to point to the record mail.yourdomain.extension (e.g., mail.yourcompany.com).
