Changing the default_charset Parameter in php.ini from cPanel
To manage PHP's default character encoding, you can modify the php.ini configuration file directly from the control panel.
Steps
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Go to the php.ini or PHP INI Editor section (depending on your cPanel version).
- Add or modify the following directive:
default_charset = ""
Note
Setting default_charset to an empty value disables the automatic assignment of a default character encoding. Be sure to correctly manage HTTP headers (Content-Type) to avoid character display issues.
