How to Unlink OneDrive from Your PC

If you want to unlink OneDrive from your computer without deleting your cloud files, follow these steps:

 

  1. Click the OneDrive cloud icon in your taskbar (bottom-right on Windows or top bar on macOS).
  2. Click the three dots (menu) and select Preferences.
  3. Navigate to the Account tab.
  4. Click Unlink this PC.

Important note

Unlinking OneDrive does not delete your files. They will remain accessible via OneDrive.com.
