To ensure that folders created via IMAP are also visible in your email client, you need to subscribe to them manually.

Creating a Folder

You can create a new folder by right-clicking on the "Account/Folder" option and then selecting "Create Folder" from the context menu.

Note: punctuation or special characters cannot be used when creating the folder. However, hyphens (-) and underscores (_) are allowed.

Outlook Express

After configuring an IMAP account:

  • Click on "Tools""IMAP Folders""Reset"
  • Wait for the complete list of folders to be displayed
  • Select the desired folders and click "Add"

Outlook XP / 2003

After configuring an IMAP account:

  • Click on "Tools""IMAP Folders""View Data"
  • Wait for the folders to be displayed
  • Select the desired folders

Outlook 2000

After configuring an IMAP account:

  • Click on "Tools""IMAP Folders""View Data"
  • Wait for the folders to be displayed
  • Select the desired folders

Thunderbird

After configuring an IMAP account:

  • Go to "File""Sort"
  • Select the desired account from the account window
  • Click "Update" and subscribe to the desired folder
