Managing Snapshots in Utixo Cloud Storage

Snapshots are instant and complete copies of your cloud storage content. They allow you to restore your system to a previous state, making them essential in case of errors, accidental deletions, or cyberattacks.

What are snapshots?

Snapshots capture a full image of your storage at a specific point in time. If needed, you can quickly restore your storage content to its previous state, minimizing downtime and data loss.

Scheduled snapshots

You can configure an automatic snapshot schedule with customizable frequencies:

  • Daily snapshots
  • Weekly snapshots
  • Monthly snapshots

This helps maintain a history of previous versions, useful for selective data recovery.

Protection against ransomware

Snapshots offer strong protection against cryptolocker attacks. If your files are encrypted by ransomware, you can restore your storage to a safe, clean state.

Management via UCMP panel

Snapshots are managed directly through the Utixo Cloud Management Panel (UCMP), where you can create, delete, and monitor both manual and scheduled snapshots.
