Transfer of Domains with TLDs Other than .IT
After completing the online order and payment, it is possible to transfer domains with extensions such as .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .eu and other international TLDs.
Transfer procedure
- Request the Authorization Code (Auth-Code or EPP Code) from your current registrar.
- Provide this code to our support team.
- Within 48 hours, the domain’s admin contact (email listed in WHOIS by the previous registrar) will receive an email in English from our Registrar requesting transfer approval.
- Once approved, our Registrar will notify the current Registrar.
- The current Registrar will then contact you again via email for a second confirmation.
- Approve the transfer again.
- Within a few days (usually between 7 and 30 days, depending on registrars), the transfer will be completed. We will notify you once the process is finished and DNS records are updated.
Common issues
- The domain is about to expire: registrars usually do not allow transfers in the last 12 days before expiration.
- The domain is expired: it must be renewed with the current registrar before it can be transferred.
- The domain was registered less than 60 days ago: transfers are not allowed during this period.
- The domain is in Registrar-Lock status: you need to request an unlock from the current registrar.
- The Admin contact email is invalid: it must be corrected with the current registrar.
Warnings
- If you do not receive the transfer email within 48 hours, contact us so we can verify and request a resend.
- Transfer times are unpredictable: usually 7-30 days, but in some cases they may exceed 30 days.
- Some providers register domains with their own contact details: in these cases, you need to coordinate with them to handle transfer confirmation emails.
- The transfer approval email is valid for 5 days. After that, a new email must be sent.
