.CN Domain Name Registration
A .CN domain can be registered for a period ranging from 1 to 10 years.
Composition Rules
- Only letters (a–z), numbers (0–9), and hyphens (-) are allowed
- Two consecutive hyphens in the third and fourth position are not permitted
- Minimum length: 3 characters
- Maximum length: 63 characters (excluding the .CN extension)
Registration Requirements
There are no nationality restrictions for registering a .CN domain. However, you must submit supporting documents within 14 days of placing the order.
Required Documents
- For individuals: identity card, residence permit, driver’s license, or passport
- For organizations: business certificate (organization code, business license, certificate of public institution or legal entity) + valid ID of the legal representative

Hosting in Mainland China
If the domain is intended to be hosted directly in China, a valid ICP number issued by the MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China) is required.
