Domain Name Composition Rules

A domain name can contain the following characters:

• All letters from a to z (case-insensitive)
• Numbers from 0 to 9
• The hyphen (-) symbol

Restrictions

• The hyphen cannot be at the beginning of the domain name
• The hyphen cannot be at the end of the domain name
• The domain name cannot start with "xn--" (reserved for IDN domains)
• Spaces and special characters (e.g. %, &, $) are not allowed
